Installation

Install xVault from the Chrome Web Store:

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
2. Search for "xVault" or visit directly:
   https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/xvault/lnlkddgipmbhfhigcdnialkpindadhgo?authuser=3&hl=en-GB
3. Click "Add to Chrome"
4. Confirm the installation in the popup
5. The xVault icon will appear in your browser toolbar

First Use

After installation, you'll need to set up your account:

1. Click the xVault icon in your browser toolbar
2. Create a master password (make it strong!)
3. Click "Create Account"
4. Start adding your text snippets

Adding Text Snippets

1. Click the "+" button or "Add New Snippet"
2. Choose a title for your snippet
3. Enter your text content
4. Select a folder (optional)
5. Click "Save"

Organizing with Folders

Keep your snippets organized:

• Create folders for different categories (work, personal, etc.)
• Drag and drop snippets between folders
• Use descriptive folder names
• Color-code your folders for quick identification

Search and Filter

Quickly find what you need:

• Use the search bar to find snippets by title or content
• Filter by folder to narrow down results
• Use keyboard shortcuts for faster access

Import/Export

Backup and migrate your data:

• Export your snippets as JSON or CSV
• Import from other snippet managers
• Regular backups are recommended
